The first year

I thought it might be a nice touch to show how I have progressed from start to present day.  As you work through the photos you can see my personal progression, and notice that it aint perfect, yet.  I still have to work as hard as you to reach my personal goals.

PERSONAL POLE PROGRESSION

The purpose of this album is not to show the perfect but the imperfect.  I felt it is as important to demonstrate to you how determined I am to achieve perfection in all the pole positions, as any of my students.

I have asked a good friend of mine and professional photographer Vik Martin of www.heyokah.co.uk to use her skills and catch in real time, my pole training.

Vik and I wanted to capture not the serene or smilie face with perfectly placed form on the pole, but what hopefully any poler could relate to as they edge their way to their own personal goals.  We also felt the need to feel natural infront of the camera, avoiding shoots that where staged.  So I basically set myself moves that are my nemasis and poled trained to reach some point of achievement.  There are no positions that are staged, Vik basically kept the camera shooting at every possible point.  Vik would change lighting to give the session that professional touch.  She has learnt alot from the session and has already got ideas that she would like to try out for our next session, so it looks like I might become her pole mews.

And last of all I want to thank Vik for changing my views of professional photography.

What an amazing weekend we had!! Sat 25th/Sun 26th October 08, place - The Broad Street Mall, Reading.

Reading Football Club, Reading Evening Post and Cannons Health put together a 2 day campaign for 'Knives Cost Lives'.  The objective to bring about awareness of activities for young people in our home town of Reading and to raise money for the making of an educational DVD, to be show in schools all over the country.  The DVD will show how knife crime wrecks lives.

BADS were asked if they would take part, demonstrating Pole Fitness.  Well I nearly bit there hand of saying yes, we organised a simple pole jam and it went down very well, check out for yourself.
